The company formerly known as Damon Sales Company, Inc., was established in 1950 and was a partnership between Mr. Howard C. Damon, who had previously served 25 years with Campbell Soup Company, and Vaughn F. Martin, formerly a partner of Fitzgerald and Martin. In 1952, J. F. Quisenberry acquired Mr. Martin's interest in the firm after serving eleven years with the R. T. French Company on the west coast and central Florida markets. This arrangement existed until 1969, when James F. Quisenberry, Jr., acquired Mr. Damon's interest after six years of service with General Foods Corporation. Mr. Damon retired at this time. In 1977, there was a merger between Damon Sales and Dudley Brokerage Company. In 1979, Phil Garnett Company joined the organization. In 1981, the Kepper Brokerage Company of Tampa was acquired, and a branch office in north Florida was also established.
Trend Marketing Services, Inc. was formed in 1991 and attained formal operational status in 1992. The concept addresses the issue of the rapidly changing distribution system as it relates to the role of the traditional broker throughout Florida and the southeastern United States.
